The rules for ordering, preview and delivery.
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This English version is a convenience translation. Only the German version is legally binding. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
§ 1 Provider and scope
(1) The provider of DoodlHero and contractual partner is Infynu Engineering Group UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Hellseifen 12, 57518 Betzdorf, Germany, represented by its managing director Dogus Ünsalan, registered with the Local Court (Amtsgericht) of Montabaur under HRB 29862, VAT ID DE449579179, email: info@doodlhero.com, phone: +49 1567 8818489 (hereinafter "DoodlHero" or "we").
(2) These terms apply to all contracts for the production and delivery of DoodlHero figures concluded via doodlhero.com. They apply to consumers (§ 13 German Civil Code, BGB) and businesses (§ 14 BGB) with a delivery address in Germany.
(3) Only persons of legal age may place orders. We do not accept deviating terms of the customer unless we expressly agree to them in text form.
§ 2 What DoodlHero does
(1) DoodlHero makes a three-dimensional figure from a child's drawing. The customer uploads a photo of the drawing, receives a free digital 3D preview and only then decides whether to order the figure.
(2) The figure is 12 to 15 cm tall, is made of Bio-PLA (a plastic based on plant starch) and is produced in our workshop in Betzdorf using a 3D printing process and finished by hand. The figure is delivered unpainted in white.
(3) Each figure comes with paints, brushes and painting instructions so that the figure can be painted together. The scope depends on the chosen set (§ 5).
(4) We deliver exclusively to addresses in Germany.
§ 3 The free 3D preview
(1) On doodlhero.com, the customer uploads a photo or scan of the drawing (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB) and enters an email address. By uploading, the customer requests a preview; this does not create any obligation to pay.
(2) The preview is generated automatically from the drawing with the help of software. Nobody at DoodlHero checks it before the customer receives the link. The customer receives a link by email where the figure can be viewed from all sides. Because the preview is created without human review, it may show details of the drawing differently or leave them out. The customer therefore checks the preview before ordering; the figure is based on the preview the customer orders (§ 8 (1)).
(3) The customer can send us change requests for the preview, for example by email to info@doodlhero.com. Our team makes the changes by hand. Two rounds of changes per preview are free of charge; one round comprises the requests the customer sends us in one message. Further rounds are possible if we agree on them with the customer.
(4) We may decline to create a preview if the template is not suitable for making a figure (for example, if it is not recognisable, its resolution is too low or its subject cannot be represented as a figure) or if it violates § 10. The customer will be informed of this by email. There is no entitlement to the creation of a preview. We may limit the number of previews per person and day.
(5) A preview link is valid for 30 days from the day it is sent; each changed preview starts this period again. If the customer does not order within this time, the preview expires; the drawing and the preview are deleted in accordance with the privacy policy. The customer can request a new preview at any time.
§ 4 Conclusion of the contract
(1) The presentation of the sets on the website is not a binding offer but an invitation to the customer to request a preview.
(2) By sending the preview link, we make the customer a binding offer to produce and deliver the figure shown in the preview in the chosen set at the price displayed. The offer is valid as long as the preview link is valid.
(3) The customer accepts the offer by confirming the set and the delivery address or addresses on the preview page and clicking the button "Order with obligation to pay" (German interface: "Zahlungspflichtig bestellen"). This concludes the contract.
(4) Before clicking the button, the customer sees an overview of the figures, the set, the price and the delivery address or addresses, together with the notice that there is no right of withdrawal (§ 11). There, the customer can check and change the entries or cancel the process.
(5) After the contract has been concluded, we forward the customer to the payment page of the payment service Stripe. There, the customer pays the price that became due on conclusion of the contract; the customer does not make any further contractual declaration there. If the customer does not complete the payment within 24 hours of the conclusion of the contract, the contract lapses (condition subsequent, § 158 (2) BGB). This does not cost the customer anything.
(6) Once the payment has been completed, the customer immediately receives an order confirmation by email. It contains the ordered figures with a preview image, the set, the price, the delivery address or addresses, the time until which the customer can cancel free of charge under § 12 (1), these terms and the information on the right of withdrawal.
(7) The contract language is German. We store the text of the contract. After the contract has been concluded, it is not available to the customer online; the customer receives it by email with the order confirmation. These terms can be accessed and saved at any time at doodlhero.com/agb.
§ 5 Sets, prices and payment
(1) DoodlHero offers three sets:
| Set | Contents | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Single figure | 1 figure from 1 drawing, 6 paints, 2 brushes, painting instructions | 39 € |
| Siblings Bundle | 2 figures from 2 drawings, 12 paints, 4 brushes, painting instructions | 69 € |
| Grandparents Set | 3 figures from 3 drawings, 18 paints, 6 brushes, painting instructions, gift wrapping, greeting card, shipping to one or more addresses | 99 € |
(2) All prices are final prices in euros including statutory VAT. Shipping within Germany is included, for the Grandparents Set also to several addresses. There are no further costs.
(3) The price is due when the order is placed (§ 4 (3)). We process payments via the payment service Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Dublin, Ireland). The customer can pay by credit or debit card or with PayPal; PayPal is offered via Stripe.
(4) The customer incurs no costs before ordering. The preview, the two rounds of changes under § 3 (3) and advice by email are free of charge.
(5) We do not offer vouchers or gift cards.
§ 6 Several figures, Siblings Bundle and Grandparents Set
(1) Exactly one drawing must be uploaded per figure. We create a separate preview for each figure. The customer can only order a bundle or set once a preview exists for all figures; the customer then orders it as a whole.
(2) A set cannot be ordered in part or reduced by individual figures afterwards. Switching to another set is possible at any time until the order is placed; previews already created are kept.
(3) For the Grandparents Set, the customer can enter one or more delivery addresses in Germany, at most one per figure, and decide which figure goes to which address. Each parcel contains the figure or figures for that address with the corresponding paints, brushes and painting instructions, gift-wrapped and with the greeting card. All parcels are included in the price. Only the customer receives the order confirmation and the proof of payment; the parcels do not show any price.
(4) The customer can provide a text of up to 300 characters for the greeting card. We print the text unchanged. We do not print texts with insulting, discriminatory or unlawful content; in that case we enclose a neutral greeting card and inform the customer.
(5) If the customer enters the address of a third party, the customer confirms that delivery to this person is wanted and permitted (see also the privacy policy, section 6.3).
§ 7 Production, delivery and delivery time
(1) We start production no earlier than two hours after the payment has been completed (§ 12 (1)) and inform the customer by email when production starts. Production may begin on the day of the order. Production is deemed to have begun when we start making the first figure of the order. Working days within the meaning of these terms are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Rhineland-Palatinate.
(2) The delivery time is no more than 8 working days from completion of the payment: production takes 3 to 5 working days and shipping 2 to 3 working days. If we state a longer delivery time to the customer before the order, that time applies.
(3) Christmas 2026: orders completed (approval and payment) by 7 December 2026 inclusive will be delivered by 24 December 2026. For later orders, paragraph 2 applies; we only promise delivery by Christmas if we have confirmed it to the customer in text form before the order.
(4) We ship with DHL Paket. We send the customer the tracking number by email.
(5) If the customer is a consumer, the risk of accidental loss or deterioration only passes upon handover to the customer or to a person designated by the customer. For the Grandparents Set, this applies separately to each parcel.
(6) If a parcel comes back because the address given by the customer was incorrect or incomplete, or because the parcel was not collected, we inform the customer and send it again once the customer has replied. We charge 5.49 € per parcel for sending it again. The customer may prove that our costs were lower.
(7) Until the parcel has been handed over to DHL, we will change the delivery address at the customer's request.
§ 8 Characteristics of the figure
(1) The quality owed is determined by the preview ordered by the customer. The figure corresponds to the preview in shape and proportions; the exact height between 12 and 15 cm results from the proportions of the drawing.
(2) Fine layer lines on the surface, minor deviations from the preview in details and a slight tint of the white material are normal results of the production process. They do not constitute a defect. The same applies to deviations caused by an unclear, incomplete or low-resolution template, provided the figure corresponds to the ordered preview.
(3) The figure is delivered unpainted. The enclosed paints are water-based acrylic paints; the brushes come in different sizes. The result of the painting is in the customer's hands and is not part of our service.
(4) If we find before production that the ordered figure cannot be made as shown in the preview for technical reasons (for example because parts are too thin or free-standing), we will inform the customer and propose an adjustment. If the customer does not agree, either party may withdraw from the contract; we then refund the full price within 14 days.
§ 9 Toy safety and warnings
(1) The DoodlHero set consisting of figure, paints, brushes and painting instructions is a toy. It has been tested according to the harmonised European standards for toys and bears the CE marking.
(2) The minimum age and the warnings are stated on the packaging, in the painting instructions and, before ordering, on the "Prices & Bundles" page. The customer observes them and passes them on when giving the set as a gift or leaving it to others.
(3) The figure is not waterproof and not heat-resistant.
§ 10 The customer's drawing
(1) The customer confirms that they are entitled to use the uploaded drawing for making a figure. For a child's drawing, the customer confirms that they have parental responsibility or the consent of the persons with parental responsibility.
(2) The customer grants us the simple (non-exclusive) right, limited to creating the preview and making the figure, to reproduce and edit the drawing and to convert it into a three-dimensional model, including through the technical service providers we use for this (see the privacy policy). This right ends upon delivery or when the preview expires; keeping the files for a remake in case of damage is governed by the privacy policy.
(3) We only use the drawing, the preview and photos of the figure for our gallery, social media or advertising if the customer has given separate consent. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.
(4) The customer must not upload templates that infringe the rights of third parties, in particular protected comic, film or game characters, logos or photos of other people, or whose content violates applicable law. In such cases we decline to make the figure (§ 3 (4)).
(5) The customer indemnifies us against third-party claims based on a breach of paragraphs 1 and 4, including the reasonable costs of legal defence, insofar as the customer is responsible for the breach.
(6) If we only discover after the contract has been concluded that the drawing violates paragraph 4, we may withdraw from the contract. We then refund the price paid within 14 days.
§ 11 Right of withdrawal
(1) Consumers generally have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. Under § 312g (2) no. 1 BGB, it does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual choice or determination by the consumer is decisive.
(2) Every DoodlHero figure is made only after the order and exclusively from the customer's drawing. There is therefore no right of withdrawal for the contract for the figure, including the corresponding paints, brushes and painting instructions as a single set. We point this out to the customer before ordering, directly above the button "Order with obligation to pay".
(3) Where a statutory right of withdrawal does exist in an individual case, the statutory provisions apply.
(4) The free cancellation under § 12 is not a right of withdrawal and is independent of it.
§ 12 Free cancellation
(1) The customer can cancel the order free of charge within two hours of completing the payment. The order confirmation states the exact time until which this is possible.
(2) After the two hours have passed, we also cancel free of charge until we have informed the customer by email that production has started (§ 7 (1)).
(3) The customer can declare the cancellation in any form, for example by email to info@doodlhero.com or by letter. The time it reaches us is decisive. If the customer calls the declaration a withdrawal within these periods, we treat it as a cancellation. Only the order as a whole can be cancelled.
(4) After a cancellation, we refund the full price without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days, using the payment method the customer used.
(5) After production has started, the customer can terminate the contract until the figures have been completed (§ 650 (1) sentence 3, § 648 BGB). We can then claim the agreed price, minus the expenses we save as a result of the termination. The customer's statutory rights, in particular in the event of defects, remain unaffected.
(6) We grant the cancellation under paragraphs 1 to 3 voluntarily. It is not a statutory right of withdrawal.
§ 13 Warranty and transport damage
(1) The statutory rights for defects apply. The statutory warranty period is two years from delivery.
(2) If the figure arrives damaged, please send us a short message with a photo to info@doodlhero.com. We will then make the figure again free of charge and ship it again; the customer does not have to return the damaged figure. The request for a prompt message is not a condition for the customer's statutory rights.
(3) If a parcel is lost in transit, we will also make the figures in this parcel again free of charge and ship them again. If DHL reports a delivery that did not reach the recipient, we clarify the whereabouts with DHL; if the parcel is lost, sentence 1 applies.
(4) The production-related deviations described in § 8 (2) and damage caused by use contrary to § 9 or by the painting do not constitute defects.
§ 14 Liability
(1) We are liable without limitation for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health that is based on an intentional or negligent breach of duty, and for other damage based on intent or gross negligence. Liability under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) and under any guarantee we have given remains unaffected.
(2) In the event of a slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment the customer may regularly rely), our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
(3) Paragraphs 1 and 2 also apply to our legal representatives and vicarious agents.
(4) If damage results from using the figure or the paints contrary to § 9 or the painting instructions, this is taken into account as contributory negligence when assessing a claim for damages (§ 254 BGB).
§ 15 Retention of title
The goods remain our property until they have been paid for in full.
§ 16 Data protection
We process personal data of the customer and of the recipients named by the customer in accordance with our privacy policy, available at doodlhero.com/datenschutz.
§ 17 Dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (Verbraucherstreitbeilegungsgesetz).
§ 18 Final provisions
(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law only applies insofar as it does not deprive the consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country in which they have their habitual residence.
(2) If the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Betzdorf.
(3) These terms are provided in German and English. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
(4) Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
