About us

A workshop forlittle big artists.

DoodlHero is not a tech company. We're a small workshop in Betzdorf that takes children's drawings seriously.

Why we exist

I'm a child of the 90s.

Playing outside, building things with my hands, dirt on my fingers: that's how I grew up. Today I see kids who can swipe and tap before they can cut and glue. I didn't want to ban the screen, I wanted to give it a job.

It started with a drawer. Every family has one: full of drawings, too lovely to throw away, too many to hang up. One day I held one of them and thought: this deserves better than a spot under the water bills.

That's how DoodlHero was born. The drawing starts on paper, the road in between is digital, and at the end there's a brush in a small hand again.

“The screen only brings the figure to your door. The painting is up to you.”

Material & mindset

Bio-PLA instead of throwaway plastic.

Our figures are made of Bio-PLA, a material made from plant starch. It's sturdy enough for children's hands and kinder to the world these children are growing up in.

Every figure is made here in Betzdorf. We look at every preview before it goes to you, take every figure out of the workshop by hand, check it and pack it together with six paints and two brushes. Short distances, fair work, nothing mass produced.

And because we're small, we also say what we're not: no toy corporation, no overnight miracle. Your figure takes 5 to 8 working days. In return, someone knows it by name before it reaches you.

Our Bio-PLA comes from the field, not from an oil barrel.
